3_33 The Breaking PointAli entered her room to find Will in a fit. The Seer was pacing back and forth across the study, muttering to herself in a disturbingly feverish manner. "Will, are you okay?" Ali asked cautiously, wondering what it was that had caused Will to behave like this.

Will turned to look at her, eyes wild. "I'm an idiot," she said, pushing her hair out of her face. "I didn't see it coming-- I should've seen it coming. Why didn't I see it coming?"

"See what coming?" Ali asked with a feeling of dread.

Will flopped into one of the chairs and covered her eyes with her palms. "Holland," she replied. "I'm a moron." She uncovered her eyes to look at Ali.

3_32 AlliesZane closed his eyes and let the soft breeze kiss his worn face. Everything in the palace was silent tonight-- things had hit disaster this morning, but had settled down afterwards. News of the attack on Robert's personal patrol had reached him from one of the palace servants-- a boy by the name of Elliot who Zane had employed to collect gossip. Most of the palace staff had fled after Marius had been killed, but the few that had stayed were willing to see what Robert could do as king. Elliot was one of the servers-- one of the best positions to hold for collecting information from the tight-lipped nobles.
